Beverly uses the ancient yoga practices to manage anxiety and quickly learned how beneficial yoga has influenced her overall health and how it transformed her life – both personally and professionally. After completing her Yoga Teaching Certification by Yoga Alliance, she continued her studies on the subtle system, energy medicine, and energy healing modalities. She combined various methods from what she learned and incorporated it into a program based on PNI research.
Beverly developed Yoga Energy Flow because she believes the majority of people desperately need to learn how to decompress, enhance emotional stamina, and find ways to allow our bodies to restore to its natural state of calm. A healthy way to find the balance of action and rest. It’s a practice, and the more you practice the more resilient our bodies become to stress and anxiety.
Beverly has extensive experience in IT Service Management consulting for Global Fortune 1000 companies. Through this experience she has a deep understanding of the relentless demands of a busy lifestyle and the challenges it poses to achieving a healthy life.
Modern day lifestyles leave little time for rest, relaxation, or in some cases the ability to get 8 hours of sleep each night. There are times we feel like we’re dragging around a block of cement on our backs or shoulders, but we should be feeling rested and having enough energy to get through the day steadily. There is a drive within each of us and by today’s standards, it could mean we are doing more, doing it quickly and spending less or no time relaxing. Instead of turning to relaxation practices such as yoga and meditation, we are likely to go for the “quick boost” by drinking coffee or energy drinks, or excessive exercise. Yes, even excessive exercise produces unhealthy stress because the muscles aren’t given sufficient time to rest/restore. The body needs action and rest for a healthy balance.
The idea of nature as a school of life is true. I have gained much more wisdom in this journey from my students and people I meet along lifes paths. This knowledge surpasses knowledge learned in formal academia during my college years.
I am grateful for the ancient practice of yoga, and for the great yogi's and gurus for bringing yoga philosophies and sharing them with us. There are many on this journey
of yogic practice, and each one adds a different flavor to the practice.
